The KS1100/PA surface mounted, self-priming “jet” pump is for pumping seawater. The threaded inlet, outlet and shaft are in 316 stainless steel, with a silicon carbide and viton mechanical seal, a pump body in polypropylene, with the impeller and diffuser in noryl. Maximum suction lift is 8 metres. The motor is IP44, has overload protection, is fitted with a rocker switch and has 2 metre long power cable. The chances of corrosion of 316 stainless steel increase with the effects of chloride concentrations, evaporation, temperature, aeration etc, (working individually or together).
