The UP100D pruning shears are part of the Makita CXT cordless system and can be used with any CXT battery. Additionally they share battery compatibility with all other tools in the CXT range. The shears are suitable for cutting branches up to 25mm in diameter and they have an electronic blade angle adjustment control which enables the opening angle of the blades to be set to one of two settings depening on the thickness of the material being worked on.
