The Ludwig Universal 14 x 5.5 Black Brass Snare Drum is modelled after Ludwigs famous Black Beauty range emphasising optimal response sensitivity and dark warm tones. The Universal Black Brass Snare Drum features a 1mm brass shell to deliver a rich dynamic range - suitable for various tuning ranges and head combinations. This shell is fitted with chrome triple-flanged hoops. These hoops offer a sharper attack and cut in more aggressive playing styles with a loud crisp and clear rimshot and cross-stick sound. What about the hardware? The Ludwig Universal Black Brass Snare Drums are fitted with heavy duty tube lugs a P88i throw off a P35 butt plate and 20 strand snare wires.
