These bongos stand for tradition. The Meinl Percussion Wood Bongo Vintage Red includes an accessory pouch L-shaped tuning key and tune up oil. The bongos are fitted with the Meinl Free Ride Suspension System which allows the shells of the bongos to resonate tones more freely with added vibrance. The shells are made from American White Ash wood and the drumheads are made from true cow skin which create authentic traditional bongo slaps. With 8mm tuning lugs and 3 SSR-rims and chrome-plated hardware the Meinl bongos have a wonderful professional finish to them.

Made from dense Indian Walnut, these claves deliver a classic pitch and clear, piercing attack most commonly associated with African and Latin American rhythms. Their solid construction enables strong projection powerful enough to cut through dense mixes and large ensembles on stage, in the orchestra pit, or in a studio setting. Measuring 8” long and 1” in diameter, these claves will fit comfortably while still providing outstanding attack.
