The Evans EQ3 Clear Bass Drum Head 18 has one goal - survive heavy hitters and cut through live. To make it through a heavy show the head is made from 2-ply 6.5mil film increasing its ability to withstand strong strokes whilst also adding a prominent smack on the attack. 6.5mil film also lends itself to opening up more making this more versatile than other double ply batter heads. This construction also helps it keep its tuning for longer.To create a controlled low-end rumble and composed mid-range the EQ3 employs an internal overtone control ring which also slightly shortens the sustain - think rounded thump with plenty of body. Level 360 Technology also makes this easy to tune in an extended range thanks to an elevated collar. Used by drummers such as Danny Carey (Tool) and Chris Adler (Lamb of God) it can hold up to world class drummers arena needs. Please note: Drum not included.
