As a result, the boot weighs in at under 1700 grams, perfect for improving efficiency and helping reduce fatigue when touring uphill The shell of the Shift Pro ski boots made from Salomons Custom Shell HD material which can be reliably customised during the heat fitting process to comfortably accommodate the wearers feet, meaning users with wider feet can still enjoy the freeride capabilities of the Shift Pro. Being a tour compatible boot it features grip walk soles for extra traction, which can be interchangeable to regular alpine soles, and front pin mounts for compatibility with pin binding setups such as the Salomon Shift binding. The Shift Pro also features the surelock walk mechanism carried over from the previous SLab MTN ski boot, which allows a 45-degree range of motion to allow for efficient walking when hiking uphill. Due to the race-inspired performance and the stiff 120 flex, these boots are most suitable for strong advanced and expert skiers who favour fast athletic turns on groomed snow.
