Hair Length Number of uses per container Short Only 3 years and older Medium Only 2 years and older Long Step 1.51 - Apply shampoo to dry hair. Apply Nix Ultra® Shampoo to scalp and dry all hair. Apply it to your hair and see if it also works on the hair closer to the scalp. Cover sufficiently behind the ears and the back of the neck. Leave Nix Ultra® Shampoo on hair for 10 minutes. Nix Ultra® Shampoo is safe and non-toxic, but avoid contact with eyes. Protect your eyes with a wet tissue or towel. Step 2 - Rinse the shampoo Wet the hair and rub it into a lather. Rinse off the foam with lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly until all shampoo is rinsed off. Towel dry your hair. There is no need to rewash your hair with regular shampoo. Note: If you have long hair, curly hair, or hair that tangles easily, we recommend rinsing out the shampoo and using conditioner before using a comb in step 3, or using a brush or wide-tooth comb to detangle your hair. Wash your brush or wide-toothed comb after use to remove lice. Step 3 - Comb through hair using the Nix® Lice Comb (included) to remove acai and lice. Divide your hair into four sections. Comb one section at a time. Start from the top of your head. Lift a 1-2 inch wide section of hair. Keep the comb teeth as close to the scalp as possible and comb vigorously and evenly from the scalp to the ends of the hair. Using clips, the comb secures each section of hair back in place. Keep hair moist while brushing. While using it, wipe your hair with a tissue and comb it out. Discard tissues in a sealable plastic bag. After brushing, check your entire head again for lice and ash. Seal and discard the pacifier and the plastic bag containing it. Check hair after 7 days and use again if head lice are present.
