The oval tip shape provides a more direct response with a smaller surface area creating a larger spectrum of sound than any other tip type. On drum heads this design also helps create a full-bodies tone sinking into the head and creating the upmost contact. A shorter taper creates a front heavy stick feel too providing more power and durability - perfect for heavy-handed drummers and drumming.
