The helmet contains EPP foam and an EPS foam puck fused together to form a 2-piece ABS shell construction, whilst added coverage on both the sides and back keeps you extra safe. The added MIPS Multidirectional Impact Protection System technology. The MIPS system designed to protect against the rotational motion or kinematics transmitted to the brain from angled impacts to the head. This added protection system has been proven to reduce the rotational violence to the brain by absorbing and redirecting oblique impacts to the helmet. The ventilation provided from the Black Diamond Capitan helmet allows substantial airflow to keep you cool on hot days and hardcore ascents. The helmet also contains a ratchet adjuster with moulded push buttons at the back and the ratcheting suspension tucks away for easy storage and transportation.
