Silca Ultimate Bicycle Chain Hot Waxing System The Silca Ultimate Chain Wax System, when utilised with Silca’s own Secret Chain Blend Hot Wax and StripChip Hot Melt Chain Degreaser, enables you to degrease and wax a new bike chain with minimal effort and no preparatory steps. It comprises a Chain Coupler attached to a Chain Hanging Stand, along with a Wax Melter. The Wax Melter is placed within the stand and filled with 300g of Secret Chain Blend Hot Wax, leaving a 20mm gap at the top of the pot. Allow it to cool for 10-15 minutes before handling or installing it on your bike. Please note, it's advisable to articulate each link before installation to break down the wax, and it may take 10-20 minutes of pedalling to properly break in the new chain.
