Now, pull down on the excess shoulder straps (B) until the pack fits snug to your body. Next, buckle the sternum strap (D) and lightly cinch. The sternum strap can be adjusted by sliding the attachment arms up or down. The sternum strap should rest about 5" below the collarbone. Finally, clip the load lifter buckles (C) and then pull forward on the excess load lifter straps for a snug fit. Remove the pack and place your dog in the dog pocket. If you are worried about your dog jumping out, you can also secure him in the pack using the internal tether that is located at the bottom of the dog pocket. Once the dog is inside the pack you can adjust as needed for comfort. Please note that the G-Train K9 Pack is a soft- and not hard-sided pack. It will not maintain its shape perfectly once your dog is secured inside. As the dog moves, so too will the pack.
