They run the pearl smuggling rings and have been known to strike deals with Great White Sharks in order to protect their hauls. Did you run afoul of them recently? Say your prayers, because you'll end up in a pair of cement... uhh... water wings, maybe, since merpeople don't wear shoes. And consider yourself warned if you come home one day to find a seahorse head in your bed! (It's less impressive than a land horse since it's much smaller, but it's still ominous.)
