The Eventide Omnipressor 2830Au is a remarkable tribute to the legendary Omnipressor dynamic effects processor celebrating its 50th anniversary. This faithful recreation captures the essence of the original iconic device which revolutionized dynamics processing for special effects in the music industry. Created by Eventides founder Richard Factor and further developed by Jon Paul the Omnipressor opened up a new realm of possibilities in dynamic effects processing. It offered precise control over dynamic modification introduced the concept of the "side chain" and even predicted techniques such as "look ahead" processing. Notably one of the first users was Brian May the lead guitarist of Queen. The golden-anniversary Omnipressor Model 2830Au faithfully replicates the original design and sound based on the authentic hand-drawn schematics found in the Eventide archives. This new model comes with enhanced features such as the ability to link multiple units input and output audio transformers (previously a costly add-on) a universal power supply and convenient TRS/XLR connectors replacing the original terminal strip. Additionally it boasts a back-lit meter for improved visibility.
