Performance & Use Case The Praxis Works 68mm Converter Bottom Bracket solves a common compatibility problem: running a non-native crankset in a BB30, PF30 or Specialized OSBB frameset. By keeping the bearings outboard - in line with Shimano specifications - it adds rigidity and removes the frame-tolerance issues that affect other conversion systems. Whether you're swapping in Praxis M30 cranks or a 24mm Shimano-standard crankset, the converter delivers a guaranteed-fit interface. Construction & Materials Forged and machined from heat-treated 7075 T6 aluminium, the cups house steel cartridge bearings. Installation is simple: press in the longer non-drive cup, then thread the shorter drive cup into it. As the drive cup threads in, the Praxis Collet system expands to a precise limit, dispersing pressure evenly for a secure fit. A compressible O-ring on the non-drive cup compensates for frame shell width tolerances. Compatibility Two spindle-compatibility options cover Praxis M30 and Shimano Hollowtech II (24mm) cranksets. Frame compatibility varies by variant: the M30 version fits BB30, PF30, BB86/92 and Specialized Road OSBB framesets, while the Shimano (24mm) version fits BB30, PF30 and Specialized Road framesets only - not BB86 or BB92. Neither variant is compatible with BBRight or BB386EVO frames, and the 68mm versions are not suitable for mountain bike cranks. Select the variant that matches your crankset and confirm frame compatibility before purchase.
