Synthetic engine oil of biological origin "Fuel Economy" designed for hybrid electric vehicles (H.E.V.) and plug-in electric vehicles (P.H.E.V.) with recent gasoline engines, supercharged or naturally aspirated, with direct or indirect injection, for SAE 0W-8 oil with low friction and HTHS viscosity (≥ 1.7 mPa.s). MOTUL NGEN HYBRID 0W-8 overcomes technical challenges of gasoline hybrid cars, such as fuel dilution, water emulsion, intensive stop/start and low temperature operation. It contains 25% organic base stock (100% renewable plant-based synthetics) and Motul's 50% recycled and 100% recyclable plastic packaging.

JASO GLV-1 is the first specification for Ultra Low Viscosity engine oil that demands very high fuel economy performance without compromising engine protection, even when using E85 gasoline. The SAE 0W-8 Viscosity grade severely minimises the hydrodynamic friction of the lubricant, allowing maximum fuel economy benefits to be obtained, especially when the oil is cold. This ultra-low viscosity grade also improves oil flow at start-up, provides faster oil pressure build-up and facilitates greater rpm agility and allows the oil to reach operating temperature more quickly.
