Petite Friture - Ø 6 x H 5.5 cm - Set of 2 Donut - Blue - Enamelled earthenware - Designer Pia Chevalier

Petite Friture Espresso cup Blue Ceramic. Dimensions: Ø 6 x H 5.5 cm - Length (with handle): L 11 cm. The Donut collection is inspired by pastry-making. Its designer, Pia Chevalier, appeals to our senses with this range of gourmet cups and mugs. The oversized handle refers to the shape of the Donut and the enamel to the delicious icing. The shape,... morethickness and roughness of the material vary according to the production of this collection. Their names evoke the different flavours of Donuts: Lemon, Vanilla, Cherry, Blueberry, Bubble Gum and Pistachio. Donut is a collection that embodies the idea of excess. These designer cups break the codes of traditional crockery and are positioned as both decorative and useful objects. Trained in Design and Craftsmanship at Ecole Boulle, Pia Chevalier now has her own workshop at the Orfèvrerie, the former premises of Christofle. The designer leaves plenty of room for total spontaneity in her creative process and the composition of her pieces. Her work focuses on the everyday object she considers a sculpture capable of arousing emotion and creating emotional bonds. Her obsession is to give solemnity to these objects to make them endearing. Made in Portugal and enamelled by hand, the Donut collection is part of a more reasoned production approach. The mugs are protected in recycled cardboard with water-based inks. These espresso cups become decorative accessories in their own right. Their artisanal, raw appearance highlights the ceramic. The atypical, gourmet design means Donut can be appreciated while drinking a strong coffee as well as for decorative purposes on a desk or kitchen shelf. Its vibrant colours bring modernity and colour to this design.
