German Engineered - quality from Berlin The AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame solution combines the advantages of the contact frame and the CPU guard for AMD's Ryzen 7000 processors. By using the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame as a contact frame, optimal contact pressure of the CPU in the socket is achieved. An included silicone foam inlay provides additional protection for the exposed components on the CPU. The design encloses the heat spreader and acts as a replacement for the motherboard SAM, being made of anodized aluminum. An optimized inner contour creates an even contact pressure by creating multiple contact points to the heat spreader compared to the standard SAM. This ensures that the CPU's contact surfaces rest evenly on the socket pins, which can avoid potential problems with memory detection. An innovative addition is the included silicone foam inlay, which can be used similarly to the AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU Guard. When installing the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame, this foam is used to seal the space between the heat spreader and the aluminum frame. This prevents thermal paste or liquid metal from getting onto the unprotected components of the CPU. This foam inlay is mandatory when using liquid metal, while it is optional with thermal pastes. Overclocking to the limit Ease of use has been improved with clear marking on the top of the AM5 Contact & Sealing Frame. The assembly is carried out in a specific orientation, supported by the bulge at the top of the base. Four screws are included and there is compatibility with Thermal Grizzly AM5 backplates to make installation easier.
