The 2-piston shares the same design as the previous version, which means that the resin brake pads for SLX G02S / J02A and the G04S / J04C metal pads are compatible, while the 4-piston version is completely new, inspired by the XTR M9100, with which it shares the N03A (resin) and D03S (metal) pads. They are also compatible with N03A and N04C pickups.- The SLX brake levers work with both XC and Trail / Enduro calipers and are equipped with Shimano´s SERVO WAVE system for faster coupling, improved power and faster response. The levers now come in two positions on the handlebar for a stiffer braking sensation.
