The casing is manufactured from durable ABS plastic, providing a solid frame to encase the rest of the components. Next, the baseplate is manufactured from FR-4, a laminate-grade glass epoxy. It is a versatile thermoset plastic that has a high stiffness to weight ratio. A rubber gasket is utilised for mounting switches. To cushion the switches as you type is a layer of Poron foam, providing a dampening effect to soften the click and exceptional typing feel. Hot Swap Thanks to the socket gasket mounting, you can hot-swap the switches used in the Ducky ProjectD Tinker65 - no soldering required. There are three prebuilt models, each utilising Cherry MX switches. This model is equipped with Cherry MX Red switches, with linear feedback and a light actuation force of 45g.
