In fact it was a variant of a commonly-used 2 1/2ton truck that had its cargo bed replaced with a massive tank and pump mechanism the side of the tank featured doors which allowed the crew access to pump the fuel. It was typically crewed by 2 featured 6-wheel drive which allowed it to tackle poor surfaces and was powered by a 6-cylinder 4-stroke engine.
