The Seiko Presage Classic Series HCC001J1 draws upon the Japanese tradition of silk dyeing with its softly textured Shironeri white dial. Representing the luminous white of silk after its natural yellow tint has been removed, the dial is formed with concentric grooves of varying widths to create a shifting radial shimmer. Curved hands and polished baton hour markers reflect the light across its surface, while the 38mm stainless steel case is treated with Seiko's super-hard coating. A delicate multi-row stainless steel bracelet, inspired by designs from the 1970s, completes the watch with a push-button deployment clasp, while dual-curved sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective inner coating protects the dial. The watch is powered by the in-house Seiko calibre 6R51 automatic movement, offering manual winding, 24 jewels, a stop-seconds function, and an approximate 72-hour power reserve.
