Summer Thornton is an award-winning artist-illustrator based in The Vale of Glamorgan. After graduating in Fine Art at the University of Arts, Norwich, Summer worked as a set designer for the theatre before starting her career as an illustrator and designer. Acquiring her first studio in “the wilds” of Norfolk, on the top floor of a beautiful watermill, Summer was inspired to create and develop an illustration portfolio. She then headed for the bright lights of London, where she had 25 successful years in the industry. Summer has won numerous awards, including three of the most prestigious greeting card design awards. Summer has combined the inspiration of her surroundings with her love for the arts and interior design and now works out of a lovely studio in her Welsh Cottage, enjoying the quiet life with her family.
