If your standard 24-inch wheelchair wheels aren’t quite up to dealing with bumpier surfaces or higher speeds, then why not swap them out for a pair of MTB Wheelchair Wheels? They can deal with bumpier paths, can help you to safely go faster, and can give you extra comfort too. These mountain bike style wheelchair wheels are designed to fit your wheelchair without needing to adjust your brakes, thanks to their offset hub. They’re a great solution if you want to use your wheelchair off-road, or introduce a powered wheelchair add on such as a Triride, Klaxon or Batec. They’re also fitted with Schwalbe Landcruiser tyres. The Schwalbe Landcruiser tyres use Schwalbe's K Guard technology, which is a natural rubber reinforced with Kevlar fibres to give you that added peace of mind. The MTB Wheelchair Wheels come fitted with black anodised push rims. These have a 22-inch rim with a 2-inch tyre depth to deliver a 24-inch wheel. The off-road wheels are designed to be used in conjunction with your existing quick release pins. The hub is a depth of 53mm, so if your wheel hub is the same as per most standard Quickie and Kuschall wheels for example then you should be fine.
