They were plucked from their fields shops and offices and enrolled into the Prussian military machine to enlarge the forces that eventually knew Napoleon the Tyrann of Europe. Prussia was a small state but their armies were well trained and burned to revenge their past defeats. The farm was made up of over sixty battalions and was equipped and trained as a time. An inexpensive but warm coat a comfortable cap and muscle went as uniform enough to put thousands of troops in the field for the limited Prussian army of time. The fighting bravely in the later wars of this time and fought in the campaigns of 1813 and finally at the climax of the Hundred Days which was Ligny and Waterloo. Not equipped and half trained they may have been used but after a few months of hard fights they went together with their brothers in the Prussian line regiments with determination.
