The Canon C400 is an incredible addition to Canon’s cinema lineup. The C400 cage was designed to streamline key setups for everyone from solo operators to multi-cam productions and broadcast workflows. The multi-plate design provides unprecedented flexibility and speed for adapting your setup. All plates feature captive hardware for worry-free plate swapping. The Center Plate can be removed for use with Canon’s included top handle. Also be sure to check out the C400 Top Handle Extension and Trigger Record Module. The C400 Center Plate can also be used with the KONDOR Blue Hollywood Handle for even more stability and rigging options.
The cage features strategically placed NATO rails anti-twist mounts and a 60-tooth ARRI rosette. These features provide ample room for additional rigging for monitors side handles cable routing external power etc.
Each plate is machined from 6061 billet aluminum for increased durability and precision. Key weight savings measures have been implemented to keep the cage lightweight yet durable enough to live up to KONDOR Blue’s unprecedented lifetime warranty.
In addition to the cage several accessories have been created for the Canon C400. Let’s face it Canon’s included monitor bracket system is clunky limiting and confusing to use. We’ve designed a minimal NATO rail to directly interface with the included monitor. This NATO rail can be paired with the KONDOR Blue Swivel Tilt Monitor Mounts Magic Arms and even our newly designed EVF NATO Support Arm Kit for a compact monitoring solution.
Additionally the Canon C400 Back Plate provides a range of options to mount additional power to the camera while still allowing use of the Canon BP-AN Batteries. The top anti-twist mounting holes are 60mm apart for mounting the KONDOR Blue 1” or 1.5” 15mm Rods with the M12 Anti-Twist Rod Mounts. This creates a perfect platform for mounting the KONDOR Blue V or Gold Mount Pro Battery Plates directly to the camera body without the need for base rails.
