Eight AA batteries can be inserted into the Explorer for up to four hours of battery life providing the sound of the Hydrasynth on the go. With the same premium effects section Mutators and wavetable oscillators the Explorer can load the same patches as the original Hydrasynth or the Hydrasynth Deluxe providing the beautiful versatile sound design capabilities and expressive PolyTouch keybed of the original.
