Montblanc 1858 Automatic 40mm Blue Dial & Strap Watch

The Montblanc 1858 product line is inspired by the legendary professional Minerva watches from the 1920s and 1930s which were conceived for military use and exploration. The Montblanc 1858 Automatic is one of the purest vintage-inspired timepieces, featuring a blue theme across the dial, case and strap. The case has a fixed steel bezel with a match... moreing shiny blue ceramic and displays the four engraved luminescent cardinal points. Housed in a 40mm stainless steel case with slim curved horns decorated with polished and satin-finishing, the Montblanc 1858 Automatic watch unveils a picture of the Mont Blanc mountain that has been engraved on the case back, along with a compass and two crossed ice pick-axes, which further reinforce the spirit of mountain exploration and the famous peak which inspired the founders of the Maison. The timepiece is adorned with a matching blue Sfumato calf leather strap with white stitching. It is water-resistant up to 100 meters. Please note, it's possible that this item is ex-display and may show signs of wear and tear.

In 1906, Hamburg, Alfred Nehemias and August Eberstein understood that with the turn of the century, a desire for innovation and ingenuity had started to snowball in modern society. Having realised this, Nehemias and Eberstein decided to produce Simplicissimus Pens, Latin for Simple Pens. A design which saw the ink-well incorporated into the main b... moreody of fountain pens. Shortly after this, new partners Claus Johannes, Christian Lausen, and Wilhelm Dziambor took over and drove the business to international success. In 1909, the Rouge et Noir was released, which included the name Montblanc. In 1910 the name was registered as the companies trademark.
