The Rado Captain Cook High Tech Ceramic collection remains inspired by the original designs released in 1962 but now incorporates an improved form including a larger 43mm ceramic case renowned for its smooth, lightweight, scratch resistant and hypoallergenic properties. The matte black high-tech ceramic case of this Rado Captain Cook Ceramic watch is detailed with hardened stainless steel on the knurled edging of the bezel and on the screw in crown for a delightful contrast. Further modern improvements can also be seen through the Swiss watch manufacturer’s EasyClip System which allows you to change the black ceramic bracelet quickly and easily without the need for any tools. The dial of the Rado Captain Cook High Tech Ceramic watch marks another first for the collection with unmissable smoked sapphire crystal glass offering a glimpse into the automatic winding movement inside. The skeletonised dial really gives the design a distinctive and contemporary personality while the R734 automatic winding calibre within powers the characteristic arrow-shaped hour, minutes and seconds hands and promises a power reserve of 80 hours. At 12 o’clock, the iconic Rado moving anchor symbol is included which is set against a synthetic ruby plate. This splash of red, although subtle is a welcome pop of colour to the rest of the monochromatic design.
