The Italian designer appropriates fragments of classical antiquity and connects them playfully and surrealistically with the present. He hijacks the cultural heritage of Antic with provocation and playfulness. Piece of me can be used as an end table or simply displayed as a precious sculpture. Resin imitates White marble to perfection. These body fragments are shown as finished sculptures with extraordinary expressive power. In its fragmentary form, the Antic offers an unprecedented, almost surreal representation of the body, reduced to detail and freed from the classical canon of proportions. Stripped of its iconographic attributes, the fragment no longer presents the Antic in all its glory, but transmits it as an obsessive trace of life. Perfect in form, the fragment thus finds its autonomy, detaching itself from the figure from which it originates and becoming a work in its own right.
