The first of these materials, polypropylene, constitutes the ribs and the outer area of the blades to provide both energy return and rigidity to the fins, reducing energy loss.The reinforced foot pocket and the fin's sole are made of a highly flexible elastomer that provides both comfort and a great fit, reducing energy dispersion even more. On the blade's central part, a thermoplastic rubber section provides the elasticity needed to improve impulse while flapping.Cressi has also modified the Thor EBS with an EBS elastic strip system to improve the adaptability of these fins to different sizes and elongations, guaranteeing a better heel fixing.
