Aria – Impressive designer pendant light by Zaha Hadid The Aria pendant light by Slamp captivates with its radial structure consisting of 50 "arms" that form a striking three-dimensional volume. Made from specially developed technopolymers, the light is particularly resistant to UV radiation and heat and has been treated with an antistatic coating to repel dust. Lentiflex® provides warm, even light, while Cristalflex® gives the light the elegant grace and break resistance of glass. Aria can thus be staged as an impressive design object in both modern and timelessly furnished rooms. The extraordinary design is the work of renowned architect and Pritzker Prize winner Zaha Hadid, whose dynamic and flowing design language is recognised worldwide. Hadid was named one of the "100 most influential people in the world" by TIMES magazine and was appointed Dame Commander of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 2012. Her style, described as "elegance of orderly complexity and seamless fluidity", is also reflected in the Aria pendant light. Italian manufacturer Slamp, founded in 1992 by Roberto Ziliani, focuses on sustainability and innovative materials. Its specially developed technopolymers enable lighting designs and effects that would not be possible with conventional materials. They are lightweight, robust and particularly environmentally friendly, reducing environmental costs by a factor of four compared to conventional alternatives.
