The Hope 61 mounted lamp crawls up the wall like a glittering, diamond spider and almost looks like a small piece of artwork. Drawn up by Rizzatto & Paz for Luceplan. The rationalisation of materials and visual lightness was the inspiration that created the Hope design for Luceplan. The lamp is made from polycarbonate petals, which are made from Fresnel lenses. These lenses optimise reflection and distribution of the light, thus improving the effect whilst reducing energy consumption. The thin polycarbonate Fresnel lenses are created using a pressed microprism of polycarbonate film, which has a dioptric effect reminiscent of glass, although the product isn’t limited by space, thickness, and weight. The light from the Hope ceiling lamp is amplified and creates a comfortable, glittering party atmosphere, thanks to the thousands of lights that act like diamonds. This was the source of inspiration for the name: Hope.
