The only scientific test to determine, define and indicate whether a motorcycle boot is waterproof is the test required by the regulations EN 13634.The testing method consists that of the total wetted area inside the footwear shall be not greatedthan 3 cm2 when tested in accordance with either:- A walk of 100 steps on a suitable platform with water level of 30mm.- A toe-flexing machine test of 80 minutes with water level of 20 mm. above the featherline.- At the successful completiona of either this tests the boot is considered waterproof.
