DACs with balanced digital (AES/EBU) input
Balanced digital (AES/EBU)
— a professional interface for working with digital audio signals. It is most often based on an XLR plug, but do not confuse the AES/EBU input with the XLR input: the former works with digital signals, where all audio channels are transmitted through a single connector, while the latter works with analog signals, based on the principle of "one connector per channel." A common feature of both interfaces, aside from the type of plug, is that they provide balanced connections—a special format of connection where interference induced on the wire is canceled out directly in the wire. This allows for the use of long cables without compromising signal quality.balanced digital (AES/EBU) | clear | Save List |
