Magnetic holder

— a device that holds a knife with a permanent magnet. Usually, it has the form of a bar, along which one or more magnetic stripes are placed; such a bar is attached to the wall, the blade of the knife is applied flat to it and the force of attraction is enough for the knife to hang on the holder. Most models are quite long and are suitable for several knives at once.

The key advantage of the holder over the stand is that the blade of the knife is almost completely open and blown from all sides — this allows it to dry if moisture remains on the blade after washing. Among the disadvantages, it can be noted that such devices are only suitable for knives made of magnetic materials and are incompatible with ceramic and other similar blades.
