Ratchet

— devices for working with bits and socket heads, having the form of a rotary handle with a built-in ratchet mechanism. Such a mechanism works as follows: when turning in one direction, the ratchet handle pulls the working nozzle behind it, when turning in the other direction, it turns idle, leaving the nozzle in place (during idle rotation, a characteristic crack usually occurs, hence the name). Thanks to this format of work, when unscrewing or tightening parts, you just need to swing the handle back and forth, you do not need to turn it full 360 ° or constantly rearrange it. The direction of rotation of the ratchet, of course, can be changed using a special switch.
