Desktop alarm clock
— a traditional alarm clock that beeps at a specific time. However, in many models, the matter is not limited only to the signal: it may have a delay (see the relevant paragraph), if there is a calendar, alarms can be scheduled for the day of the week and even specific dates, some models allow you to customize the signals and even download additional melodies and sound effects at the user's choice. Also note that in many unusual watches (see "In the Direction") the alarm clock also has unusual control — for example, switching off can be done by hitting a target from a special IR pistol or by installing a rocket model "catapulted" by the watch in its place. Such original features have a very practical meaning: they reduce the likelihood of falling asleep again after the sound is turned off.
