Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries are characterized by a high number of charge/discharge cycles, chemical and thermal stability, tolerance to low temperatures, short charging times (including high currents), and safety in operation. The risk of a LiFePO4 battery "exploding" due to overload is practically eliminated, and overall, these batteries handle high peak loads with ease while maintaining operational voltage almost until full discharge.
