Studio flashes

— unlike continuous light, studio flashes operate in pulse mode - the object or scene of the shooting is illuminated with short-term pulses of light. That is, the flash is triggered for a short period of time synchronously with the pressing of the camera shutter button. This ensures the most accurate lighting for specific conditions of the shooting process. By using additional modifiers, the light from the studio flash can be flexibly adjusted for various tasks, obtaining a soft, diffused, directional or sharp character of lighting in the frame. Note that for the correct operation of the camera with the flash, wired or radio synchronization is required.
