Gas water heaters
Gas water heaters
— the advantages of gas as an energy source are low cost (compared to electricity) and the ability to provide high heating power even with a rather compact size of the device. On the other hand, gas water heaters are much more difficult to install than electric ones: in addition to having a gas supply, such a device also requires a chimney. And the rules for operating gas appliances are stricter.Note that this option is popular among tankless heaters (see "Water heater type") — it is for them that high power is of key importance; relatively few storage water heaters use gas.
