Card reader

The main function of this function is to expand the volume of the player's own memory; Memory cards are especially convenient in light of the fact that, in terms of gigabytes of volume, they are much cheaper than built-in drives. In addition, the card reader provides other additional features. So, with the help of removable cards, you can organize data exchange with another device — for example, record a selection of music from a laptop with a slot for memory cards, or copy audio files recorded in voice recorder mode to the same laptop. And some players with this function, when connected to a PC, can play the role of an external card reader.

Note that there can be two slots for memory cards. This design is found in some Hi-Fi players (see "Intended use") — based on the fact that such devices often have to work with advanced audio formats that require large volumes of files.
