Magnification adjustment
— the ability to change the magnification in a certain range. Thanks to this function, the same sight can be used in different modes — for example, the shooter can first examine the area at low magnification, which provides a wide field of view, and then increase the magnification on the object of interest to him. The downside of this convenience is a slight increase in cost and a decrease in reliability, however, for traditional optics (see "Type"), these points are not critical, and the vast majority of modern optical sights have a variable magnification. But in night and collimator models, they are extremely rarely made adjustable: in "night lights" it is technically difficult, and in collimators — most often it does not make sense, taking into account the specifics of the application.
