Nitrogen filled sights
Nitrogen filled
— this category includes closed sights, the case of which is sealed and filled with an inert gas — for example, nitrogen or a mixture of argon and krypton. Such a gas is better suited as a filler than ordinary air for two main reasons. Firstly, the filler does not enter into a chemical reaction with the parts inside the case, which has a positive effect on durability; secondly, it does not contain water vapor, which provides additional protection against corrosion and prevents fogging. It is also worth noting that all sights with this feature are, by definition, dust and moisture resistant (thanks to hermetically sealed cases).nitrogen filled | clear | Save List |
