— the main distinguishing feature of this type of solid fuel boiler (see the relevant paragraph) is already clear from the name: they are designed for long-term operation on a single fuel load. It is ensured by the use of fireboxes of a special shape — a large volume, elongated in height. Thanks to this shape, as well as a specific air supply system, the combustion of fuel, occurs gradually, layer by layer.
