Adsorption

— a specific type of dehumidifier that uses the so-called adsorption technology – the absorption of moisture from the air by a special absorbent substance. This is what distinguishes adsorption devices from other types of dehumidifiers, which use the principle of moisture condensation on cooled surfaces. The technology is quite expensive, but it allows operation in a wide range of temperatures, including subzero temperatures. Such devices are indispensable in refrigerators and freezers, at some stages of chemical production, indoor ice stadiums and in other specific conditions for which condensing models are unsuitable.
