— the most "old" of the refrigerant brands used in modern dryers. R22 has a low operating pressure, which allows the use of inexpensive and, at the same time, quite reliable circuits. It is inexpensive. Moreover, it is homogeneous in composition (isotropic) and, in the event of a leak, the circuit can be refilled. On the other hand, this refrigerant is recognized as environmentally hazardous, moreover, during fires, it decomposes with the formation of toxic substances. Therefore, R22 is now becoming less common, and in some countries, its use is generally prohibited.
