— washers with electric engines, designed for connection to standard 230 V household mains. In general, electric engines are used in most modern HP washers. They have a number of advantages over another option — internal combustion engines (ICE): electric engines are simpler and cheaper both in design and in operation/maintenance, are less heavy and more compact, have a lower noise level and do not create exhaust gases during operation. As for 230 V mains, they are ubiquitous (unlike 400-volt ones) and can provide quite high power (as opposed to 12 V connection to the cigarette lighter). So, even an ordinary socket allows to work with devices with a power of up to 3 – 3.5 kW — this indicator is considered very solid for mini-washers. And connecting directly to the electrical panel allows to use devices with a power of up to 10 kW. At the same time, the operating time is practically unlimited, and the “mains” devices themselves are lighter and not as expensive as battery models.
As a result, it is this method of power supply that has become most widespread: it is used in almost all household washers, as well as in many professional models. The disadvantages of this option include perhaps the dependence on the mains and the presence of a power cord that limits mobility; however, for high pressure washers, these moments are not so often significant.
