Voice activity detection

— phones with this feature are able to track whether the user is talking or silent, and depending on this, switch between two modes — “talk”, when the communication channel is used to the fullest, and “pause”, when the connection speed and the amount of transmitted data are reduced. Thus, traffic is saved and the communication channel is free. It is desirable that this feature be combined with the generation of comfort noise (see the relevant paragraph).
