Nano Memory Cards
Nano Memory
— memory card format, originally introduced in 2018 by Huawei and intended mainly for smartphones of this brand. Also known as nano SD, although this designation is technically incorrect. In addition to their small size (45% smaller than microSD), the key feature of Nano Memory cards is the location of contacts: it is completely identical to nanoSIM SIM cards. Thanks to this, smartphones and other gadgets can be created where the same slot with a standard set of contacts will be used for both SIM cards and memory cards — this simplifies the design. As for the characteristics, initially for Nano Memory volumes up to 256 GB and read speeds up to 90 MB/s were announced; if this standard proves successful, these numbers can be expected to increase.
