Tips for the rod

The tip is the very tip of the rod. It is on this site that the attachment point of the fishing line is located, and all jerks and twitches act primarily on the tip; while the thickness of the rod, we recall, usually decreases from the handle to the end. As a result, the probability of tip breakage under heavy loads is quite high, and such parts are sold separately just in case of such “accidents”.

Note that quiver-types (whips) are also technically tips, but they perform specific functions and change not only in case of breakage, but also when the rod is reconfigured to suit the changed weight of the tackle. Therefore, such devices are not included in this category; for more details on them, see the relevant paragraph.
